Destination Engagement Photoshoot in Denver, Colorado

Updated: Sep 10, 2019

Being based in Dallas, Texas, Nat and Jessica-Jean did not think it was possible for my wife and I to travel to Denver, Colorado for an engagement photoshoot a few weeks before their wedding. However, we are always up for an adventure with our clients and who could say no to Colorado’s gorgeous mountains! Their first location for the photoshoot was Estes Park at the Rocky Mountain National Park. Since we were new to the area, we decided to hop in one car and photoshoot them along Highway 36 and the 3M Curve. It felt like one of our past road trips scouting Tuscany, with the curved roads and stunning views. They were initially nervous in front of the camera which is common since it is not what couples are used to. But once we began our scenic drive altogether Nat and Jessica-Jean were able to relax and became naturals in front of the camera. Although it unexpectedly snowed for most of their photoshoot, it was incredible to see how they kept each other warm to prolong their memories in front of the scenery. They had no problem unfolding their hearts under the snow - they had even welcomed a blizzard (which never came by the way)! Their love for each other was magnetic, and snow couldn’t separate them. Who would have thought that the cold weather and their warmth for each other would have blended to create one of the most magical engagement sessions we have experienced? As we completed the route from Fall River to Beaver Meadows, we were amazing at how this road trip could have ended so quickly. It is one of those trips that will stay with us for all time.

By the time we got to our second location at the Garden of the Gods, Nat and Jessica-Jean became fearless adventurers ready to conquer their photoshoot. Nat literally flew in the air with joy and confidence. This transition was an incredible process for us photographers to observe.

The bridal session was another adventure. Jessica-Jean rented a beautiful mansion filled with chandeliers and antiques. This was definitely one of our favorite sessions, and we felt so lucky to be her photographers!

In this moment, she was imagining her future together with Nat.

"In a hundred lifetimes,

In a hundred worlds,

in any version of reality,

I'd find you

and I'd choose you."

– Kiersten White

Just like the Church Light found and chose her!

Nothing could describe their first look better than this quote:

"When I saw you, I fell in love,

and you smiled because you knew."

– William Shakespeare

The beautiful shades of green blessed her before she walked on the aisle.

We witnessed so much emotion as they exchanged their vows.

We witnessed their joy and their laughter.

And their dreams. Together. Forever.
